Understand photography as a form of enriching and enlightening visual art under the mentorship of world-renowned photographer and Travel Photography Guru Sir George Tapan (2011 National Geographic Photo Contest - Places Category Winner).
Learn how to take amazing travel photographs featuring towns, landscapes and heritage-rich sites like Lake Sebu, the picturesque ancestral haven of the Tboli Indigenous People. Learn how to take timeless portraits of people. "This will not be an ordinary photography workshop", the master assured.

In this 4-day workshop Master George Tapan promises to share his secrets on:
  • Composing internationally-winning travel photographs
  • Giving soul to photographs of people (especially of indigenous peoples) and places
  • Capturing time and culture in a photo
  • Getting the attention of international travel magazines to publish your works
  • Shooting like a real pro the Master's way 
Digital Camera (compact camera/point and shoot or SLR/DSLR). It would be best if you have cameras with manual exposure controls (aperture, shutter speed, ISO).
Photography enthusiasts, hobbyists and even professionals can join.

Workshop Fee:
P 9,500 per participant

Workshop fee does not cover plane fare for flights from participant’s home base to South Cotabato and back. However, if you want your flights to be arranged, kindly contact the organizer through the contact details below.

The Master's Profile
Sir George Tapan has won two Pacific Asia Tourism Association (PATA) Gold awards for 
travel journalism and an ASEAN Tourism Association award. Above it all he won the 2011 National Geographic Travel photography contest topping 20,000 other entries from 130 countries around the world.
He conducts photography workshops and learning tours nationwide not just to teach the skill but for the participants to appreciate photography as an art and a means to understanding nature and people.

His recent works with Department of Tourism includes the agency’s promotional photographs of the country’s top destinations displayed in the country’s main airports, mostly in NAIA-3 area.
