Takladtamig Cinco: Valentines Outreach Climb

Takladtamig is "Mountaineering with a Heart" as our group of five mountaineers (slash) event organizers call it.
Takladtamig started as an outdoor experiment aimed at organizing outdoor events that involve and benefit local communities and has an environmental component. Tourism promotion for the sites is the third component and is as important as the first two. Hence, the event's advocacy slogan:

Grow a Tree
Lend a Hand
Be Amazed!

We are organizing our 5th "taklad" in time for Valentines Season with the title Takladtamig Cinco Partners Climb: A Valentines Outreach Climb. The climb this coming February 23-24 will be held in Tupi Municipal Park, a three hour trek away from the center of Linan village in Tupi, South Cotabato province.

Participants are required to register in pairs/by partners. A pair need NOT be lovers. You can come with your partner friends, relatives, colleagues, peers, classmates, etc.

After planting trees with the locals, the participants will conduct an outreach/sharing program. Slippers and other personal and household kits will be given to the beneficiary families.

The first half of the climb, which will start in the Tarsier sanctuary in Bagong Silang subvillage, will be a mini race. It will be loaded with mazes and fun challenges.
The partners or each team will be required to finish the race as part of the fun and for little surprise prizes.

The second part will be a two-hour river trek which will conclude to a campsite near the pristine falls (see photo below) in the Park.

Here's another event poster for more details:

My previous post explains about the Takladtamig:
Taklad Ta Mig? This is an invitation for both the seasoned adventurers and even the inexperienced ones to join us in a unique mountaineering experience.  Only two things are required for the joiners: they should be physically fit and should have a kind heart.
Takladtamig is an inviting statement which originates from three Hiligaynon words:Taklad, meaning to climb; Ta, could mean us or we, and; Mig, short for amigo or friend. Thus, the event title which literally means “Let us climb, friend.”

We formed the group called the Friends of Holon and Melibingoy (FHM), a group of independent and solo mountaineers from South Cotabato, South Central Mindanao, Philippines, to organize Takladtamig and to give life to the intention of making Lake Holon and Mt. Melibingoy known as a prime trekking destination while promoting its conservation and reaching out to the communities.
FHM is a non-profit group of volunteers that spearheads the Takladtamig events. We have already covered different trekking destinations in South Cotabato since the first outreach climb.
Takladtamig is not just an event, it is a convention of mountaineers that agrees to the principles as stated in the advocacy slogan.
